Wie ein bunter Blumenstrauß ist der Auftaktabend der mexikanischen Woche beim schrit_tmacher-Festival; dazu noch schnell und abwechslungsreich. Bei „Cuando Los Disfraces Se Cuelgan (When Disguises are Hung Up)“ strotzt es auf der Bühne nur so vor Farbenfreude, dynamischen Lichtkegeln, einem noch viel dynamischeren Ensemble, choreografierter Tanzkunst und etlichen Kostümwechseln. Die Tänzerin, Choreografin und Leiterin der Kompanie, Claudia Vista, hat ein Stück geschaffen, das europäische Sehgewohnheiten reizt und zugleich auf die Probe stellt, denn in einer einzigen Stunde wird unglaublich viel erzählt. Für dieses ungewöhnliche und besondere Stück bedankt sich das Publikum mit tosendem Applaus und Standing Ovations und das Festival mit einem bunten Strauß Blumen; ganz im Stile des Abends also.

Like a colorful bouquet of flowers –

that is the opening evening of the Mexican week at schrit_tmacher festival. And on top it is dynamic and diverse. „Cuando Los Disfraces Se Cuelgan (When The Disguises are Hung Up)“ oozes with colors, dynamic cones of light, an even more dynamic ensemble, choreographic art of dancing and quite a few costume changes. Claudia Vista, dancer, choreographer and head of the company, created a piece that appeals European viewing habits and at the same time puts them to a test as in a single hour an incredible lot is being told. The audience gives thanks to this unusual and special piece with thundering applause and standing ovations and the festival does so in form of a colorful bouquet of flowers – following the style of this evening.
