2015 stand der Tänzer und Choreograf Michael Clark mit seiner spektakulären Produktion „animal / vegetable / mineral“ erstmals auf der Bühne des schrit_tmacher Festivals. In den Niederlanden wird schrit_tmacher 2018 mit „to a simple, rock ‘n’ roll . . . song.“ eröffnet. In seinen Produktionen kombiniert Clark die klassische Bildsprache auf faszinierende, nahezu androgyne Weise mit einer komplexen, modernen Subtilität. „to a simple, rock ‘n’ roll . . . song.“ ist eine Ode an die Musik. Die Vorstellung beginnt mit einer feinsinnigen Reflexion auf Erik Satie und seinen Einfluss auf den Tanz, um dann über den Punkrock von Patti Smiths „Horses“ in einer Verneigung vor David Bowie zu enden.

In 2015 stond danser en choreograaf Michael Clark met de spraakmakende productie ‘animal / vegetable / mineral‘ voor het eerst op het schrit_tmacher festival. schrit_tmacher 2018 opent aan Nederlandse zijde met ‘to a simple, rock ‘n’ roll … song.‘. In zijn iconische producties combineert Clark de klassieke beeldtaal op een intrigerende, haast androgyne wijze met een complexe, hedendaagse subtiliteit. ‘to a simple, rock ‘n’ roll … song.’ is een ode aan de muziek. Met een verfijnde reflectie op Erik Satie en zijn invloed op de dans wordt de voorstelling geopend, om via de punkrock van Patti Smith’s Horses af te sluiten met een eerbetoon aan David Bowie.
