KLAUS DILGER
 
Scientist for German Literature and Political Sciences, journalist, author, photographer, choreographer, filmmaker, lighting- and media designer, theater director, artdirector and artistic director, editor and producer.
 
This is titling 40 years of professional engagements and experiences, united by the one and above all aim: to make the soul of things visible  and to make it alive so it can be experienced as well. This was and is motivation and source of successful works at the same time.
 
As a choreographer he created more than 30 dance productions for his own B.W.Gung dance company  and for other companies that had been performed and invited to important national and international places and festivals more than a 1000 times.
His choreographic oeuvre had been awarded twice by The Art Foundation of the State of Baden Württemberg.
 
As a film maker for dance-films he won the International Competition „Choreographic Captures“ in 2011, awarded at the „Internationales Filmfest München“. Since 2011 he created and published the worldwide unique platform for „dance in film and critique“ www.TANZwebNRW.de. He recently received a solo exhibition at Fabrik Heeder to present his vast photographic and filming work.
 
As a light- and mediadesigner he is not only renowned in theatre and dance, but works worldwide for global industries, such as VOLKSWAGEN, BMW, INFINITY, SKODA, PANASONIC and in particular for CANON for whom he designed the Paris World Exhibition in 2005 and PHOTOKINA 2006 and 2008.
 
In 2004 he received the „Oscar“ in the design world: the „RED DOT design award“ along with the agency KMS for his lightdesign for LAMBORGHINI in the PINAKOTHEK DER MODERNE | Munich and their exhibition „MYTHS“.
 
Since 2009, the former co-director of „European Centre for Choreography“ and the „Centre for Dance and Technology“ in the Abbaye des Prémontrées | France is living  in Cologne.
